Think of driving down the highway and seeing a billboard which intrigues you and you want more info. Do you write down the phone number or long URL, while driving? Perhaps you spend some time trying the search engines when you get home. Why waste the time, if the same billboard had the identifiable EDOC5 symbol (see above) then all you would have to do is remember the 5 digit code. Now when you get home you go to EDOC5 and type in your code and you are automatically taken to exactly the information you were looking for pertaining to the billboard you saw. Connection made, frustration gone!
